Your metabolism can start declining from the tender age of 26.
Now this is bad news to start the morning off. I had been getting all excited about #weekendfood and now I feel like crying into bran flakes sprinkled with kale.
mean graph using information from the United States Department of Health shows how many calories we actually need and when our daily intake needs to be reduced, depending on their age, gender and how fit we are.
For us ladies, if your idea of exercise is bringing a wine glass to your mouth from the table, your metabolism can start to decline at only 26! 26! *Runs and gets the kettle bell*
*Realise you don’t have a kettle bell. Wonders if the kettle will do. Wonders what a kettle bell actually is*
And for blokes, although exercise really does change the amount of calories you need to consume, you also need to reduce what you eat from early twenties.
Oh, also… “Sedentary” movement is pretty much barely moving, “Moderate” is 1-3 miles of exercise and “Active” is above and beyond that.
BTW, the grey area apparently represents how many calories we actually eat on average, according to 2009-12 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.
Well if that hasn’t cheered you up, I don’t know what will. Happy weekend!!
